Update: not seeing Avidemux in Synaptics at all.Ĭode: Select all $ sudo apt-get install avidemux It may take a moment to get this installed again as I just installed LinuxMint 18 the other night. I see "transform" but "available filters" are blank. Jpeg images can be rotated by multiples of 90 degrees without re-encoding, movies should have that same capability. One thing bad about avidemux in this case is you have to re-encode the file - if you choose "copy" no filters are available. Note: I can't get the linux version of avidemux to start (it used to.) this is the windows version under wine. You don't see something like the below? (with an mp4 file). I can get as far as "transform", but nothing pops up. I can open the video, select filter where it says "video". The Avidemux software is not letting me rotate.
